Survey CAD Drafter/Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Survey CAD Drafter/Technician to prepare Boundary, Topographic, and ALTA Surveys and Plats of Subdivision. This role involves providing advanced CAD support for the Surveying team, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft survey data from the field and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of survey data through quality checks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Boundary, Topographic, and ALTA Surveys and Plats of Subdivision.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft survey data from field measurements.
  • Provide technician support for the Surveying team by preparing engineering/survey plan sets and creating reports.
  • Conduct quality checks on survey data and field measurements to verify accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in topography, ALTA, and topographic surveys.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Survey CAD Drafter/Technician.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in CAD is preferred.
  • An understanding of surveying, including survey data (topography, ALTA, plat subdivision, easement) is highly preferred.
Work Environment

This role is an in-office position located in Aurora, with a standard schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There is potential for a hybrid schedule for candidates who require no training. The company consists of approximately 50 employees, with a survey team of 18 members. Long-term opportunities include ownership possibilities and annual salary reviews, raises, and bonuses. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.
