Job Responsibilities:
- Provide operation and maintenance activities in support of the CLOIS Contract at CCAFS. Independently perform all launch, operation and maintenance activities required to ensure the mission, upkeep of facilities, structures, and related systems.
- Provide support to Pump Station #7 launch support operations.
- Maintenance includes, but is not limited to, installations, modification, assembly, repair, replacement, adjustment, calibration, construction, test and operations.
- Structures and equipment include industrial engines and pumps, mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, walls, floors, ceiling, doors, windows, masonry and all architectural items generally associated with structures, facilities and industrial type buildings.
- Systems include, but are not limited to, bridge and overhead cranes, horizontal and vertical industrial doors, air compressors, cafeteria equipment and vent systems, exhaust fans, sump pumps, gas pumps, etc.
- Conduct functional and operational tests on repaired or rebuilt equipment, components or systems.
- If proper certifications are held, perform installation, construction, layout/fabrication, milling machine operations, modification, assembly, repair, welding, burning, brazing, soldering, etc., of facilities, structures, buildings, vehicles, metal products, and equipment.
- Perform work in other classifications, when incidental, but necessary to accomplish work assignments.
- Work from verbal information, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics and applicable national, state and municipal specifications, codes and ordinances.
- Performs work in compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA and Space Force laws, regulations and requirements. Maintain logs, records, charts, etc., as required.
- Maintain certifications, licenses, permits, etc., required for performance of assigned tasks.
- May include managing hazardous materials or other environmental responsibilities.
- May be required to participate in preparation, ride out, and recovery actions following natural disasters.
- May be asked to support hurricane preparation and recovery activities.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent plus Trade School and/or Military Training.
- Seven (7) or more years' experience in industrial/commercial mechanical systems O&M.
- Must be computer literate and proficient including MS Office applications.
- Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) experience desired.
- Must possess a current security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- US Citizenship is required for obtaining a security clearance.

Physical Demands:
Ability to work at heights including ladders > 6'. Ability to operate man-lifts, forklifts and motor vehicles. Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs unassisted. Capable of climbing stairs.
