Job Description

We are excited to announce a pivotal new role in our well-established firm, known for over 70 years of excellence in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and commercial sectors. This strategic position aims to bring scheduling in-house for the first time, supporting our commitment to operational excellence. The Project Engineer Scheduler will provide technical administrative support and lead the development, management, and maintenance of complex resource-loaded project schedules. This role is critical in ensuring the timely completion of construction projects while optimizing resources and minimizing delays. Additionally, the position supports project engineering tasks and document control processes when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop multi-phased, resource-loaded schedules using Microsoft Project and other scheduling software.
  • Participate in pull plan scheduling sessions, including the development of 52-week visual schedules using sticky-note or collaborative formats.
  • Build detailed RFP schedules (e.g., 100+ activities) to support proposal submissions and preconstruction planning.
  • Create, update, and monitor comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution.
  • Assist in implementing project management and document control processes.
  • Log submittals and shop drawings into approved systems.
  • Input project meeting minutes and generate master vendor listings.
  • Maintain bid vendor listings by market segment.
  • Download, save, and print project documents and drawings.
  • Prepare change order forms and coordinate with accounting.
  • Attend estimate and project meetings as directed by Project Managers.
  • Provide support to the team and participate in weekly staff meetings.
Essential Skills
  • 5 years of construction experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, including resource loading.
  • Experience with projects in Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, and Industrial sectors.
  • Strong desire to be a full-time Scheduler.
  • Experience in building and managing construction schedules.
  • General knowledge of construction sequencing.
  • Ability to work independently in a new role.
  • Familiarity with ProCore or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiar with Project Engineer roles such as RFI's and Submittals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Primavera P6.
  • Experience combining multiple schedules into a master schedule.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.
Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in an office setting with site visits as needed. This is a newly created role with potential growth into a Scheduling Manager position. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $88000.00 - $105000.00/hr.
