JOB TITLE: Journeyman or Master Electrician - Tech III
DEPARTMENT: Plant Operations
REPORTS TO: Facilities Director
Seeking a Master Electrician or a Journeyman Electrician with the ability to test for and receive Master’s license within 12 months of hire.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment throughout the facility. Maintain the equipment, tools, furniture, etc. of the facility. As an electrician, maintain, inspect, repair and install hospital electrical equipment and communication systems. Includes emergency generators, associated switchgear, and support equipment, 480 volt and lower distribution equipment including motor control centers, automatic transfer switches and control devices such as variable frequency drive units. Responsible for installation of new circuitry for lighting and convenience circuits. Follow all tasks as set forth by the Facilities Director.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must hold a valid active Wyoming Master Electrician’s license or have Journeyman Electrician’s license with ability to test and receive Master Electrician’s license within 16 months of hire.
EXPERIENCE
Five or more years of equivalent experience. Specialized knowledge and licensure as an Electrician.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Must hold a valid active Wyoming Master Electrician’s license or have Journeyman Electrician’s license with ability to test and receive Master Electrician’s license within 16 months of hire.
- Maintain a valid clean driver’s license during period of employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work in all areas of the facility.
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
- Must be willing to work beyond normal hours.
- Attend and participate in continuing education programs.
- Required to attend all department meetings.
- Required to be available for emergency situations.
- Serves on various committees of the facility as required by appointment by the Facility Director.
- Required to be part of On Call rotation.
- Must be familiar with potential hazards, e.g. bloodborne pathogens, hazardous and infectious wastes, chemicals, etc.
- Must be knowledgeable of safe working practices including the use of power equipment.
- Maintain records of tests, quality control and all pertinent information as it relates to department.
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel within the entire facility.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in the departments for patients and employees.
- Maintain QI records, records of tests and all pertinent information required within the department.
- Utilize computers, email and software including, but not limited to, Word, access controls
- Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with facility wide and departmental policies and procedures.
- Actively participates in CRH Compliance Program, demonstrates compliance with required laws and regulations, and ensures departmental compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate in hospital mandatory education programs/in-services.
- Meet attendance policy requirements.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion when carrying out the essential functions of this position.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
- Must be organized in job functions in order to avoid errors, errors of omission and inconsistent complete of job function.
- Must keep necessary inventories current in order to maintain uninterrupted operation of the facility.
- Maintain an effective preventative maintenance program as necessary.
- Maintain appropriate records as required by regulations, as well as facility records necessary for following established policies and procedures.
- Other related duties and activities as may become necessary or as directed by the Facility Director.
