Construction (Civil) Foreman

We are a General Engineering Contractor specializing in Grading, Underground Utilities, Asphalt Paving and Concrete Site Work for both Private and Public Works. We have been in business for over 40 years with locations in Northern Nevada, California and Colorado.

Looking for individuals who would like to join our team of experienced and professional employees looking to grow our operations in the Northern Nevada area. Most of our work consists of heavy civil site work including; mass grading, finish grading, underground utilities, structural backfill, asphalt paving, concrete site work for both private and public works.

Highly qualified and experienced foreman and superintendents may be eligible for incentives and bonuses.

Objective and Responsibilities:
Grading Foreman; must be able to manage all aspects of grading and related earthwork.
Utility Foreman; must be able to manage all aspects of utilities such as water, sewer, storm drain and dry utilities.
Complete supervision and responsibility for the job site field operations, including daily production, cost, safety, organization, labor, and equipment scheduling and management, subcontractor management.

Duties, Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
Plan construction projects by studying plans, coordinating with Project Superintendent, Project Manager and Logistics Coordinator.
Approves construction work by conducting inspections.
Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing codes.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with OSHA regulations.
Involves the operation of heavy equipment including: Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Paving Equipment, and Graders.

Requirements:
Experience as a Foreman in Pipe and Utilities
Preparing work plans
Ability to communicate with customers and fellow employees
Scheduling and Directing work crews
Strong knowledge of plans and specifications, OSHA Requirements
Proficient skills with lasers, line and grade, GPS, deep excavation and dewatering
Computer skills, strong communication and organizational skills with attention to details
Must have a clean driving record and the ability to be insured to operate company vehicles
Must successfully pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test

Required Experience:
Grading Foreman: 3 years (Preferred)
Utility Foreman: 3 years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
