Idaho Power located in vibrant Boise, Idaho is looking for an Joint Trench Scheduler to join our Customer Operations team. Its an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Joint Trench Scheduler do for us?

A Joint Trench Scheduler develops and maintains Joint Trench Master Schedules for design, construction, and operations. They manage construction schedule by monitoring/updating the Joint Trench Schedule company wide. They provide strategic resource information from an enterprise-wide perspective for executive planning and decision-making.

A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

Knowledge of:

  • Resource scheduling
  • Power BI
  • Crew management processes
  • Microsoft Excel software knowledge

Preferred:

  • Utility Trench rules and regulations
  • Dig Line rules and regulations

Skills in:

  • Conflict management
  • Time management, prioritization, and organization management
  • Analysis
  • Personal computers including commonly used business software applications (such as Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication

Preferred:

  • Advanced Excel and business analytics
  • Scheduling software

Ability to:

  • Manage multiple projects and perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy while under pressure
  • Maintain organized, legible, and accurate records
  • Adjust to changing schedules and priorities and prioritize workload
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality

  • Communicate effectively to gather information and to disseminate schedule information

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in statistics, mathematics, general business studies, or other related quantitative disciplines

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Experience:

  • 2 years of experience performing resource scheduling in the construction or utility environment

OR

  • 3 years related work experience in utility operations

Preferred:

  • 5 years of experience performing resource scheduling in construction or utility environment

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Job could require occasional travel including some overnight stays and the ability to work flexible hours. May require travel to other regions of the company.
