Job Title: Laser Setup Operator

Pay: $27-$33 | Monday - Thursday

Job Description

As a Laser Setup Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Salvagnini and Mitsubishi fiber lasers. You will work with sheet metal thicknesses ranging from 20 gauge up to 3/8" and must be able to interpret blueprints and apply GD&T practices. The role involves handling a mix of long-run and prototype jobs daily, and familiarity with tolerances of +/-1 degree is essential. Additionally, you will assist with preventative maintenance for all fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Salvagnini and Mitsubishi fiber lasers.

• Work with sheet metal thicknesses from 20 gauge up to 3/8".

• Interpret and work directly from blueprints, applying GD&T practices.

• Handle a mix of long-run and prototype jobs each day.

• Ensure familiarity with tolerances of +/-1 degree.

• Assist with preventative maintenance for all fabrication equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with sheet metal and fabrication.

• Skill in laser setup, nesting, and laser operation.

• Proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading.

• Precision in machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of laser setup experience preferred.

• Experience with precision sheet metal is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $68640.00/yr.

Extremely nice climate-controlled fabrication job shop, with custom work, so being able to adjust to types of projects, products, etc. Most of the machines are just a few years old, so working with state of the art equipment daily.
