Job Description:
Overview:
Leads the design and coordination of land development projects for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Applies advanced civil engineering knowledge to produce site layouts, grading, utilities, and drainage plans.
Responsibilities:
Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for civil site projects
Develop grading, drainage, and utility designs in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Conduct feasibility analyses and layout studies for site optimization
Support permitting efforts with reports, exhibits, and technical responses
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory entities
Perform quality reviews of design deliverables
Guide junior engineers and review their technical work
Prepare drainage studies and utility service reports
Manage task-level schedules and project milestones
Attend client meetings and contribute to project planning
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Minimum of 4 years of experience in land development or civil site design
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with grading, utility, and drainage design standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage priorities and work collaboratively
Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated
Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed
