Cuber Operator Job Description The Cuber Operator is responsible for lifting and loading blocks onto the machine line, ensuring quality control by checking blocks and removing any damaged goods. This role offers an opportunity for growth into a machine operator position over time. Responsibilities Lift and load blocks onto the machine line. Perform quality control checks on blocks. Discard damaged goods. Participate in training on 1st shift for one week before transitioning to 2nd or 3rd shift. Essential Skills Mechanical skills. Troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Experience with heavy equipment. Ability to lift and load items weighing 75+ lbs. Comfortable with heights and climbing ladders. Work Environment The work environment is a dusty, dirty, and hot block plant yard. The role involves working mandatory Saturdays, with shifts available as follows: 1st shift from 6 am to 2 pm, 2nd shift from 2 pm to 10 pm, and 3rd shift from 10 pm to 6 am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
