MIG/Structural Welder (Entry Level) $23hr

**Position Summary:** Our customer is seeking a dedicated and skilled MIG Welder to join our fabrication division. As a key member of their team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of metal components used in industrial construction projects. This role requires a strong focus on safety, precision, and collaboration.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.

+ Prepare and fit metal components for welding, ensuring accuracy and quality.

+ Set up and operate MIG welding equipment, adjusting settings for optimal performance.

+ Perform MIG welding on steel and alloy components, maintaining high standards of workmanship.

+ Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with company and industry standards.

+ Maintain tools, equipment, and work area to uphold Alfred Miller Companies' commitment to safety and organization.

+ Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and participate in regular safety meetings and training.

+ Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and fellow team members to meet project goals and deadlines.

+ Assist in mentoring less experienced welders, promoting a culture of learning and excellence.

**Qualifications:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification in welding preferred.

+ Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience in an industrial or fabrication environment.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

+ Strong knowledge of MIG welding processes, equipment, and safety standards.

+ Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.

+ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

+ Team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

+ Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed.
