MIG/Structural Welder (Entry Level) $23hr

Position Summary: Our customer is seeking a dedicated and skilled MIG Welder to join our fabrication division. As a key member of their team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of metal components used in industrial construction projects. This role requires a strong focus on safety, precision, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
  • Prepare and fit metal components for welding, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Set up and operate MIG welding equipment, adjusting settings for optimal performance.
  • Perform MIG welding on steel and alloy components, maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work area to uphold Alfred Miller Companies commitment to safety and organization.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and participate in regular safety meetings and training.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and fellow team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Assist in mentoring less experienced welders, promoting a culture of learning and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification in welding preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience in an industrial or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong knowledge of MIG welding processes, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed.
