Shop Welder

Are you ready to put your welding skills to work? Staffmark is looking for a dependable and motivated Shop Welder to assist with welding, fabrication, and general trailer maintenance in Calhoun, LA. If you enjoy working with your hands and want to grow your skills with a supportive team, this is the opportunity for you!

Schedule: 7 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $14 - $16/hr.

What We're Looking For:

• Basic MIG welding experience and the ability to pass a weld test
• Comfortable with hand and power tools
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs. and work in shop conditions
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
• Welding certification, trailer repair knowledge, or forklift experience is a plus

What You'll Do:

• Perform MIG and/or stick welding on trailer components, including frames, hitches, and ramps
• Assist with trailer repairs, modifications, and custom builds
• Use cutting torches, grinders, and hand/power tools to prep and finish welds
• Follow blueprints or instructions for trailer fabrication
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Move materials and trailers (forklift experience a plus)
• Support senior welders and adhere to all shop safety policies
