Overview
MSA is looking for a licensed Senior Project Engineer - Engineering to support one of our long-standing architectural partners on impactful community-focused projects in Jacksonville FL.
In this role, you'll step into a trusted relationship, helping deliver essential electrical design services that shape public spaces and enhance the quality of life for local residents. You'll also play a key role in growing our regional presence, both in team capacity and project reach.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead the pursuit and kickoff of electrical projects, helping shape technical solutions that support client goals and community impact.
Manage the full lifecycle of projects-including planning, design execution, budget tracking, invoicing, and closeout-ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.
Drive internal innovation, participating on committees and contributing to ongoing improvements in electrical project management practices.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams with autonomy, providing technical direction and ensuring collaboration across engineering disciplines.
Serve as the central point of contact for both clients and internal teams, fostering clear communication and strong working relationships from start to finish.
Oversee a variety of projects, from standalone electrical systems to complex, integrated designs within larger architectural or infrastructure developments.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; a Master's degree is a strong plus.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Florida Design Engineer of Record (DES) license required to support regulated project delivery.
10+ years of consulting experience, demonstrating deep technical knowledge and practical project execution.
Hands-on expertise in designing low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, CCTV, keyless entry, security, sound systems, and media delivery.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong portfolio of technical project delivery using these tools.
Thorough knowledge of Florida building codes, ensuring compliance and best practices in every project phase.
Experienced in shop drawing and submittal review, with a sharp eye for detail and documentation accuracy.
Skilled in project management and client engagement, with a track record of building lasting partnerships and delivering on expectations.
Experienced in mentoring and supporting junior staff, helping to build a high-performing, collaborative team.
Proven background in plan production and technical project delivery, with strong capabilities in ERP systems and clear, confident client communication.

BEST-IN-INDUSTRY BENEFITS
The salary for this position ranges from $88,800 to $142,000 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
