Project Manager
Job Description

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for overseeing the overall direction, coordinating completion, and ensuring the financial success of a construction-management project throughout its life cycle. This includes mentoring project engineers and promoting a strong team culture. The SPM will ensure that team performance and quality align with the project plan.

Responsibilities

  • Review specifications and identify all required submittals. Prepare a submittal log/schedule and communicate any scope changes.
  • Identify long lead items and manage the submittal review process according to the CPM schedule and sub schedule.
  • Coordinate job site setup and develop the site logistics plan.
  • Create, distribute, and maintain a field inspection report for each project.
  • Review field inspection reports and communicate any deficiencies to the supervisor and PM.
  • Responsible for record drawings and maintain document control logs to track documents.
  • Track weekly trade performance against the project schedule, review the delay log, and ensure trade delays are incorporated into the schedule.
  • Promote safety during the performance of all daily project responsibilities.
  • Track and perform jobsite safety meetings, participate in safety meetings, present safety topics, and maintain attendance logs and binders.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Assist with job progression documentation (2-week look-ahead).
  • Prepare meeting minutes, agendas, and other documents as instructed.
  • Develop high proficiency in Procore and make recommendations for better implementation of Procore Software Tools.
  • Complete and obtain a current OSHA 10 certification prior to hire.
  • Attend jobsite meetings as needed and record meeting minutes.
  • Fulfill miscellaneous project-specific requirements as needed or assigned.
  • Schedule and attend all pre-construction meetings as required per subcontractor trade.
  • Track and submit RFI, ASI, sketches, and other project documents.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction projects, including Retail, EDU, Healthcare, Transportation, and Industrial sectors.
  • Experience managing projects with a size of 5+ million.
  • Subcontractor management and quality control.
  • Proficient in Procore software.
  • OSHA 10 certification is mandatory.
  • Site construction experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a relatable field is preferred.
  • Self-performing experience is a plus.
  • Pre-construction or carpentry experience is advantageous.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Work Environment

The work environment includes both office settings and project sites, as needed, generally once a week. The typical start time is around 7:30 AM. The projects are local to Connecticut, ensuring that sites are within an hour's drive from home.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
