Heavy Equipment Operator HVAC / Process Piping Support

Location: San Antonio, TX
Pay Range: $24.00 $32.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Monday Friday

Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support HVAC and Process Piping operations on commercial and industrial job sites in the San Antonio area. This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled operator with trenching, excavation, and equipment maintenance experience, especially in plumbing, piping, and utility installation environments .

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators, skid steers, backhoes, loaders, and water/dump trucks

• Dig trenches and excavate accurately for plumbing lines and underground piping

• Transport materials safely across the job site

• Assist with site preparation and cleanup before and after excavation activities

• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance

• Read and interpret excavation plans, site drawings, and blueprints

• Communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members to maintain job progress and safety

• Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy machinery on commercial job sites

• Proficiency in trenching, digging, grading, and site prep

• Strong understanding of safety procedures for excavation operations

• Ability to read and follow blueprints and layout plans

• Valid Driver s License

• Physical ability to lift/carry 25+ lbs , work in confined spaces , and climb ladders

• Willingness to perform hand digging or assist with manual tasks when required

• Prior experience supporting plumbing, HVAC, or process piping crews

• Self-motivated, able to manage time, and thrive in fast-paced environments

• Basic understanding of equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Competitive pay: $17.00 $22.00/hr DOE

• Weekly pay through Great Basin Staffing
