Wieland is hiring a Machinist/Mechanic. The Machinist/Mechanic will be responsible for utilizing machinist & mechanical skills to ensure safe and efficient operation of all production equipment, and special tooling necessary for production of high frequency welded tube products. This role is located in Cuba, MO and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $31.36 hourly

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM to 3PM

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Machinist/Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Precision machining, polishing, and inspection of profiled roll tooling
• Sharpening shear die sets
• Sharpening carbide OD cutting tools
• Fabrication and setup of impeder's, I.D. heads, and induction coils
• Machining of tool steels, ampco bronze, brass, copper, aluminum, and plastics
• Cutting & welding
• Mechanical & hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs
• Conveyors, gear boxes, and drive units
• Scales
• Forklift maintenance
• Motor/coupling alignment
• Bearing replacement

Machinist/Mechanic Qualifications:

• First Class Machinist minimum requirement 4 years machine shop experience (industrial plant environment preferred), or 4 year Machinist Apprenticeship Certificate, or completion of Olin approved General Maintenance Hand training program consisting of formal VoTech training & 2 year on-the-job training.
• Experience necessary for efficient operation of lathes, milling machines, grinders, saws, drill presses, and other machine shop equipment.
• Experience in hydraulics, electrical, and cutting & welding helpful.
• Basic computer skills are required.
