GAS FOREMAN

The Gas Foreman oversees daily utility construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. The Foreman also performs hands-on labor when needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Supervise and monitor daily operations
  • Maintain all necessary paperwork and documentation
  • Champion safety culture: model behaviors and provide corrective action
  • monitor site for changing safety conditions and related issues.
  • Train crew members in accordance with Company safety practices.
  • Conduct job hazard analysis and present daily/weekly tool box talks.
  • Support crew by operating equipment and doing labor as needed
  • Monitor progress of crew to ensure satisfactory job completion, keeping construction progress in line with overall project schedule and cost estimate.
  • Pre-survey job location and ensure utility locates have been performed
  • Manage and develop effective customer and employee relations
  • Analyze and resolve work challenges
  • Secure work site to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials
  • Coach, train, and evaluate employees' and guide towards goal achievement
  • Develop and maintain business relationships
  • Serve as point of contact with customers, inspectors, subcontractors and vendors
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Attend customer progress meetings and pre-bid meetings
  • Travel as needed
  • Perform miscellaneous duties assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years field experience or military equivalent

  • Valid Driver's License

  • DOT Medical Card - If driving company vehicle

  • Computer Skills

  • The physical activity required for this role includes:

  • Travel as needed to visit job sites

  • Exposure to a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather outdoors

  • Walking on uneven and variable terrain for long periods

  • Sitting for extended periods in an office environment

  • Frequently standing, walking, stooping, climbing, bending and reaching overhead

  • Lift heavy loads, up to 50 lbs.

  • Exposure to loud noise level in the work environment

  • Manual dexterity for computer use, files and office equipment

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
