Forklift Operator $18/HR**
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented forklift operator to join our 2nd shift production team at the Rock Island facility. This role involves operating roll forming equipment to produce metal roof and wall panels, performing quality checks, and supporting production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate roll forming equipment to manufacture metal roof and wall panels.
+ Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
+ Complete tooling changeovers and adjust equipment as needed.
+ Program work orders and report daily production and scrap.
+ Operate a forklift to move raw and finished goods (training provided).
+ Package finished goods using saws and nail guns.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
+ Participate in safety and hazard recognition programs.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience.
+ Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16".
+ Prior machine operating experience required; 2+ years preferred.
+ Experience with hand and power tools (e.g., saws, nail guns, roll formers).
+ Forklift experience is a plus.
**Work Environment**
+ Production is based on daily client orders; overtime may be required on short notice.
+ Team of approximately 15 employees on 2nd shift.
+ PPE provided (except steel-toed boots).
+ Dress code includes jeans, shirt, safety glasses, gloves, arm guards, and steel-toed boots.
