Arterberry Cooke Architecture is looking for a part-time interior architect at our Eagle Rock, Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities:

Assist or lead programming efforts and analysis.

Perform architectural and interior design assignments with general direction, and work independently as well as collaboratively with others toward design solutions.

Create detailed residential architectural plans and elevations.

Assist in developing design and technical solutions for projects in all phases, including graphics, renderings, and performance metrics for the successful communication of the design goals.

Provide production of design drawings, presentation drawings, and digital models in support of design teams.

Research products and materials, review existing projects and those under construction to inform the production of design documentation.

Collaborate with engineers, electrical, Title 24, and other consultants to meet project requirements and facilitate the building process.

Be a key contributor to the effective performance of the project team regarding project quality, schedule, and budget.

Assist in the execution of Construction Administration responsibilities and project close-out.

Contribute to general office-wide initiatives and marketing efforts.

Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges.

Consult with clients, both in-person and virtually, to identify and incorporate project needs. Consult with clients to assess contractor options.

Drive to various project locations in and around Los Angeles at various project stages.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Highly motivated, proactive, passionate, and resilient.

Well-organized and detail-oriented with a proven ability in working in a collaborative team environment.

Demonstrated competency in programming and space planning.

Excellent communication skills, design presentation, and storytelling skills.

Experience in the detailing and execution of construction documents with minimal supervision.

7+ years of experience in a professional architecture and/or interior design setting.

Degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture.

Experience in LA City, LA County, and surrounding municipalities

Required Skills / Abilities:

Possess a knowledge of all aspects of interior design and interior architecture, including programming, space planning, color and material research and sustainability, FF&E, and lighting design.

Extremely proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.

Excellent ability to translate client ideas into drawings.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Google Suite or related software.

Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and consultation skills.
