Mid-Level Civil Engineer

Actalent Honolulu is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer III to support infrastructure and site development projects across Hawaii.

The Civil Engineer plays a key role in delivering civil engineering design and coordination for a variety of projects. This position involves performing technical tasks, guiding junior engineers, and collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform moderate portions of broader engineering assignments.
• Conduct calculations, data analysis, and routine testing.
• Propose solutions to new problems using standard methods.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in engineering results.
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
• Independently complete primary design elements.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with diverse project teams.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, partners, agencies, and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid U.S. drivers license preferred (for site visits).

Preferred Skills:

• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools.
• Prior experience with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies in civil-related projects (e.g., water resources, site development, transportation, stormwater, wastewater).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
