Electrical Engineer

Location: Torrance, CA

Pay Rate: $65$70/hour

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Torrance, CA. In this role, youll be responsible for designing and developing advanced electrical systems and products, driving innovation from concept through implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact while working on a variety of projects in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

- Design electrical systems, components, and products based on project requirements and specifications.

- Develop and test prototypes to ensure optimal functionality, performance, and safety.

System Analysis

- Analyze electrical systems and circuits, perform calculations, and utilize simulation software to evaluate performance.

- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues; recommend effective solutions.

Project Management

- Plan and oversee electrical engineering projects, including timeline creation, resource allocation, and cross-functional team coordination.

- Ensure successful project delivery within budget and time constraints.

Technical Documentation

- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, diagrams, and test reports.

- Maintain detailed records of design changes and project milestones.

Compliance & Safety

- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.

- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures as needed.

Collaboration

- Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to integrate electrical systems into larger products or projects.

- Communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting to achieve project goals.

Research & Innovation

- Stay informed about the latest advancements in electrical engineering and related technologies.

- Research and propose creative solutions that enhance product performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in electrical circuit design, analysis, and simulation tools.

- Strong knowledge of current electrical codes and standards.

- Experience with CAD software for schematics and layouts.

- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a knack for troubleshooting and developing innovative solutions.

- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

- Attention to Detail: Precise in your approach to design, testing, and documentation.

- Time Management: Able to manage multiple projects and deliver results on schedule.

- Experience: Previous experience in electrical engineering or related roles preferred. Practical experience with electrical testing equipment and familiarity with manufacturing environments a plus.
