The Finance team is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator in Portland, OR .

This role is ideal for someone with experience in purchasing and vendor coordination, and who brings strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive mindset. Youll support everything from purchase order creation to invoice processing and utility tracking, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and long-term process improvements.

What Youll Do Key Responsibilities :
  • Create and process purchase orders (POs) for the Information Systems (IS) team.
  • Monitor open POs and follow up with vendors to confirm delivery timelines.
  • Update and communicate order status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and maintain IS inventory levels.
  • Track and report lead times for key IS inventory items.
  • Manage and track software maintenance agreements, ensuring timely renewals.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable team by processing invoices and performing other purchasing tasks, including document filing.
  • Manage company-wide utility invoices to ensure timely payment and proper coding.
  • Create and maintain standard processes for requisitions, including increased utilization of electronic databases.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for annual renewals and procurement.
What You Bring Required Qualifications :
  • 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or accounts payable experience, ideally in a technology or operations setting.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience working in procurement or ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills with internal teams and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience supporting Information Systems or Finance departments.
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking and procurement databases.
  • Prior experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry.
