Utility Equipment Operator - Sand Plant

At Martin Marietta's Linn County Sand Plant, just outside Ely, Iowa, you can do both. We're looking for a Utility Equipment Operator to join our hardworking crew to operate various heavy equipment along with the dredge! You will play a hands-on role in producing high-quality sand and gravel used in essential infrastructure projects.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate various types of heavy equipment including off-road haul trucks, loaders, water trucks, skid loaders, and dredging equipment

• Perform daily inspection of vehicle and work area as assigned

• Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation

• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; clean equipment

• Assist on plant maintenance and repairs as needed

• Other mining-related duties as required

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required

• Minimum 1 year previous experience in a role with similar responsibilities

• Bilingual is a plus
