Regional Mechanical Technician

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of mechanical maintenance, to include repairing, replacing, and keeping an inventory on all HVAC, laundry, boiler/ hot water heater and other major equipment in each facility. This will be done in accordance with codes and regulations and as required to support the operational goals of the facility.

• Maintain a complete inventory of all HVAC, laundry, and boiler/hot water heaters within the TELS system.
• Install and repair all HVACs, washers, dryers, and hot water heaters in each facility when applicable.
• Instruct maintenance personnel how to trouble shoot broken or non-functioning equipment.
• Conduct regular visits to each facility to assess equipment needs.
• Work side-by-side with the Regional Maintenance Director to discuss and schedule various projects in each facility.
• Ensure each facility maintains and repairs all major equipment in compliance with all OSHA, Federal, and State regulatory guidelines, and preventive maintenance best practices.
• Mentor all maintenance staff.
• Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance goals.
• Actively communicate with Regional Maintenance Director, facility Maintenance staff, and RVP.
• Work with Regional Maintenance Director to implement a preventative maintenance program for all major equipment.

• 10 years experience as Regional Maintenance Director or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 10 years experience replacing /repairing HVACs, commercial washer and dryers, hot water heaters and boilers.
• 10 years experience in the long-term care industry.
• 5 years experience as an electrician.
• 5 years of TELS experience.
• HVAC certification required.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Excellent stress management, administrative, and organizational skills.
