Our Client, a respected civil engineering firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Division Manager to oversee transportation and infrastructure construction projects across the state of Utah. This leadership position offers the opportunity to shape and grow a statewide team dedicated to delivering high-quality, UDOT-compliant projects.
The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a deep understanding of UDOT standards, specifications, and delivery methods .
Construction Division Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
- Mentor and support career development for team members.
- Leverage digital tools and data analysis for project tracking and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key liaison with UDOT, clients, contractors, and government entities.
- Represent the division in proposals, contract negotiations, and public or professional settings.
- Monitor division performance and implement operational improvements to drive efficiency and profitability.
Construction Division Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Masters preferred).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Utah or eligible for reciprocity within 6 months.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy civil/transportation construction, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing UDOT projects and understanding UDOT contract procedures.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, budgets, and schedules.
