Machine Operator, 20+, All Shifts Open Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to assist with the setup and operation of tandem rolling mill machinery. This role involves installation and adjustment of rolls, threading up, first piece inspection, welding, and general cleanup. The ideal candidate will utilize precision measurement instruments and perform basic shop math calculations to ensure the quality of products. Responsibilities Set-up and operate wire machine with minimal supervision. Change over equipment and ensure product quality. Make necessary adjustments to operating conditions to produce quality products. Perform necessary tests and measurements to assure product meets required specifications. Maintain accurate product data and records. Correct or adjust any machine malfunction immediately to ensure production continuity. Report major machine malfunctions to Supervisor. Continually inspect products while performing other duties. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Assist in other duties as directed. Essential Skills Machine Operation Experience. Ability to read measurements (tape measure/micrometers/calipers). Mechanically inclined. Forklift operation experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 6+ months of heavy manufacturing experience required. Preferably 6 months of machine operation experience. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs throughout the shift. Safety-minded with a focus on completing all tasks safely. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orrville, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $20.70/hr.
