Job Title: Utilities Project Manager Location: Lebanon, IN Duration: 1-2 Years Pay Rate: $60/hr - $95/hr (depending on experience)
Job Description: Project Oversight: Manage and oversee the construction of the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Mechanical Systems Management: Supervise the construction of the building's basic Mechanical Piping Systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
Responsibilities may include all, but not be limited to the following black utility (non-pharma process related) piping system:
Fire protection; domestic hot and cold water; storm, sanitary and process waste; steam, chilled water, non-pharma process piping, including above and below grade systems.
Change Order Management: Provide feedback and comments on change orders, ensuring that any modifications are necessary, cost-effective, and do not compromise the project's integrity.
Owner's Representative Duties: Act as the owner's representative, ensuring that the project aligns with the owner's vision and requirements. This includes:
- Reviewing project plans and specifications.
- Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
- Conducting regular site inspections and progress meetings.
- Addressing any issues or concerns that arise during construction.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Managing project documentation and reporting.
The key focus is on candidates with the experience outlined below particularly those with a strong technical administrative background and engineering degrees.
Technical/Administrative Focus: Strong experience in project controls and change management; less emphasis on field execution.
Engineering Background: Preference for candidates with engineering degrees to ensure technical depth.
Civil, Electrical, Piping Experience: Candidates with backgrounds in these areas are considered highly transferable and valuable.
Less Field, More Office: Emphasis on PMs who are office-based and technically focused, rather than those with purely field construction management backgrounds.
