After adding 167,377 construction jobs in January, iHireConstruction saw the strong start to 2019 continue with 126,109 jobs added in February. The demand for roofers dropped considerably and project/construction managers took over the top spot on our list of popular titles with 13,335 opportunities added in February followed by electricians (11,197 openings), millwrights/mechanics (10,204 openings), carpenters (9,098 openings), and welders/fabricators (8,540 openings).

February saw a slight uptick in the number of active construction job seekers from 33% to 35%, which could help explain the continuing decrease in average job ad age from 25 days in January to 24 days in February.
