Carpenter Jobs in West Virginia
Measure, cut, and shape wood or other materials to assemble or repair structures. Some carpenters build larger-scale building frames. These projects require them to work effectively and efficiently with cranes and other large machinery to raise, level, and fix the skeleton in place. Other carpenters may install particular fixtures, including cabinets, siding, drywall, and wainscoting. The exact materials they use depend on the companies they work for.
All carpenters must be competent at reading blueprints and building plans in order to properly complete construction to the client’s specifications. They may also be responsible for inspecting and replacing damaged frameworks or fixtures. They rarely work from an office, and are almost always performing labor on site.
