They should also have knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software. A person may begin their career as a Junior Electrical Engineer, move up to an Electrical Engineer, and then progress to a Senior Electrical Engineer. Prior to becoming an Electrical Engineer, they may have held roles such as Electrical Technician or Engineering Intern.
