Journeyman Electrician - 1st Shift - Abilene, KS

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Journeyman Electrician to join our team at our Abilene facility in Abilene, KS.

This role works has a 4-day work week - Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., plus occasional overtime as required. Some on-call responsibilities may be required as well.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Repairing critical equipment, performing preventive and predictive maintenance

Willing to learn and/or work on mechanical/electrical hardware CNC and PLC troubleshooting

Must demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills

Maintains equipment logs on assigned equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems

Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and perform repairs

Ability to perform electronic repairs used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments

Provide leadership to ensure all safety and environmental procedures are maintained

Help with scheduling down time for machine repairs or preventive maintenance

Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.

Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Must possess an electrical license

Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred

Excellent verbal/written communication and computer skills preferred

Provide tools for the trade
