Welder/Fabricator

The person in this position fabricates and installs miscellaneousmetals, specifically ornamental iron. Minimum requirements: - Highschool diploma or G.E.D. - Minimum one (1) year experience withfabricating miscellaneous metals - Welding certification - ValidDriver\'s license to operate company vehicles Job Duties: - Interactwith other employees in regards to fabrication of ornamental iron - Readblueprint or CADD drawings and fabricate to specifications - Takemeasurements and perform job layout as required - Comply with allapplicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potentialsafety hazards to appropriate person - Maintain a clean, safe andorganized work area - Perform set-up duties in accordance withproduction schedule and duties (i.e. help load and get things ready fornext day activities) - Meet established performance standards to ensureproduction schedules are met - Ensure that products and systems meetcompany quality specifications - Lift up to 50 pounds; more withassistance - Perform rotational assignments including grinding, wirewheeling, part cutting, welding, spot-welding, painting, installationand other duties as assigned Work Environment: -Typical schedule isMonday through Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm -Push production materials andwheeled carts -Frequently sit and stand, climb (including ladders) asrequired by the process. Occasionally kneel, crouch, stoop -Job dutiesare performed indoors under noise levels exceeding 85 db, with potentialhazards, including: electrical shock, burns, pinching, crushing, cuts,abrasions, fumes, electromagnetic radiation, and solvents EmployerNotes: - Employer conducts drug test, background check and DMV recordscheck prior to first day of employment -Ideal candidate will be able tofabricate using blueprint, will be self-motivated, demonstrate awarenessand concentration while performing welding/fabricating techniques.
