The Painter position is responsible for:

  • Painting of all company owned property, commercial, residential, interior and exteriors.
  • Operate hand and power tools, light and heavy equipment.
  • Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
  • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material.
  • Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools and apply varnish and other finishes. Thorough professional cleanup of all areas after job completion.
  • Also assist in other non-painting repairs, and maintenance activities as directed by maintenance director.
  • Keep records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications include

  • HS Graduation or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of and experience with commercial and/or construction painting techniques to include in proper painting techniques, airless sprayer, brush and roller application in accordance with paint manufacturers specs.
  • Valid, unrestricted drivers license for more than 3 years.
  • Ability to use appropriate tools (brushes, sprayers, caulking guns etc.).
  • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding ladders etc.
  • Great attention to detail, prep and cleanup.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.

In accordance with RCW 49.44.240 this position is identified as Safety Sensitive and is subject to pre-employment drug screening including cannabis.
