Cost Analyst III
Location: Syracuse, NY (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Project Management team to prepare forecasts of project spending, cash flows, and monitor budget variances.
Analyze and verify variances between actual and forecasted spend.
Support project meetings and assist in the preparation and updating of project documentation and planning.
Contribute to project management best practices related to cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in the construction contracting process, including bidding activities, cost analysis, and cost tracking, depending on project status.
Communicate with the project team and other stakeholders on various budgetary items.
Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, project budgets, working with accounting principles, and/or construction or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.
High level of personal initiative and ability to interact with company personnel, contractors, regulatory representatives, and town/city officials in a positive, collaborative manner.
Experience with data analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and accruals.
