Overview:

Under general supervision, responsible for managing supply contracts, provides assistance with the Low Carbon fuel standard program, processes invoice payments for existing contracts, enforces supply contract terms, establishes new and exercises active contract options. Manages supplier quality, performs root cause analysis, charts reliability predictions, and implements quality control processes for the receiving dock. Works with the Material Planner, Inventory Analyst, Storeroom supervisors, Warranty department to ensure a steady supply of parts and material and avoid supply chain disruptions.

This is an exempt position in Salary Grade ­­205: Min $95,176 – Mid $114,212 – Max $133,247 annually. The starting salary will be within this range based on qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees supply contracts to prevent potential contractual disputes, verifies adherence to contract terms, manages cumulative maximum obligation.
  • Drafts contract scopes of work, exercises contract options, manages price summaries, determines initial contract years and option years.
  • Manages the daily operations of the material section assuring a steady supply of parts, fuel, lubricants, shop supplies and safety equipment.

Works in a Collaborative Manner with Others: Works in a collaborative manner with others, helps resolve unproductive conflict.

  • Works with maintenance and materials management staff to promote quality improvements throughout the supply chain.
  • Works with maintenance, facilities department, specialty shops, technical services, and material management to establish blanket contracts for high usage parts.
  • Interacts with suppliers to develop quality improvement processes.

Solves Problems & Analyzes Issues: Has and applies problem analysis and problem-solving skills on a technical and interpersonal level.

  • Develops department dashboard for all key indicators, stock outs, parts availability, cost of supplies, contract performance, and material cost savings.
  • Develops and implements quality inspection practices out on the receiving dock.

Learning Agility: Seeks feedback actively and strives to improve based on that feedback. Strive for continual improvement.

  • Reviews supplier terms, conditions, and recommends innovative ways to deal with contract requirements.

Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of material management experience; three years of which are managing teams. Experience in leading process improvement teams.
