Job Summary: Job Summary:
Property Solution Services LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator to join our disaster restoration team. The Junior Estimator will support the estimation process for restoration projects, including water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, rebuilds, and more. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to high-quality restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for restoration projects, including materials, labor, and timelines.
Conduct on-site inspections to evaluate the scope of damage and necessary restoration efforts.
Collect and analyze data to identify materials, equipment, and labor needs.
Work closely with project managers, technicians, and clients to ensure clarity on project specifications.
Create project estimates using industry-standard software (Xactimate, Symbility, or similar).
Maintain detailed records of estimates, project costs, and adjustments.
Communicate effectively with clients to explain estimates and answer questions.
Monitor project progress and report any changes that impact budget or schedule.
Support the preparation of bids and proposals for large restoration projects.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred but not necessary).
Experience: 1+ year of experience in construction, restoration, or estimating (internships or co-op experience acceptable).
Skills:
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with estimation software (Xactimate preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Licenses & Certifications:
Valid Driver's License (Oregon or Washington).
Certifications in Restoration or Estimation (a plus, but not required).
Work Environment:
Office-based with frequent site visits.
Occasional travel within Oregon and Washington for project assessments.
Exposure to construction sites and restoration environments.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate or salary (DOE - Depending on Experience)
