Job Title: Remote Electrical Drafter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Drafter to join our team. This role is crucial in designing and drafting electrical systems for modular panels and mezzanines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical design principles and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD 2D.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed electrical schematics and technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD 2D.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop accurate electrical layouts for modular panels and mezzanines.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and company specifications.
- Understand and apply Bill of Materials (BOM) knowledge.
- Revise and update existing electrical drawings as needed.
- Maintain organized documentation of electrical designs and revisions.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Revit and AutoCAD 2D for electrical drafting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with manufactured products or construction.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations.
- Associate degree or certification in electrical drafting or a related field.
Work Environment
- This position is fully remote. The role requires travel to a plant in Georgia for 2-3 weeks of training when starting.
- The work involves 60% electrical schematics and technical drawings and 40% desk work, including communication with customers and vendors.
- There are three different product lines that drafters could be assigned to: knock down, ballistic, or panels.
- The opportunity for growth is present, with a possible route to the engineering team.
- This is a contract-to-hire position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
