Four years of construction contract negotiations and administration experience

Job Description:

Contract Administration:

Procure technical, consulting and construction services with a focus on compliance with contract terms and conditions and corporate standard practices, policies, and procedures.

Development of contract documents, and requests for proposals. Contract Change Orders, CWAs

Verify insurance; receive and review contract invoices and coordinate authorization for payment; and maintain project files. Ensures contracting activities are in accordance with IBEW and ESC provisions.

Audit the projects Vendor spending internally and externally, if needed, to assure accuracy.

Prepare Contract Documents:

Transmit and track contract documents to suppliers and Client management.

Handle document routing in accordance with delegation of authority, and track document routing to ensure timely processing of documents.

Maintain project and vendor files.

Billing Compliance:

Work with Project Managers, Procurement Specialists, and Contractors to ensure all parties adhere to contract requirements and specifications.

Market Analysis and Supplier Management Assistance:

Manage contractor relationships to continually improve quality, service and cost.

Conducts negotiations with contractors to establish contract terms, mitigate risk, and reduce cost.

Ensure the overall efficiency of the procurement process.

Change Orders:

Managing and getting change orders executed.

Solves moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions

May manage projects or initiatives

Develops procurement and contract documents

Ensure contracting activities are in compliance with Client industry standards and practices and in accordance with IBEW and ESC provisions

Audits vendor invoices

Conduct negotiations with contractor and service providers to obtain favorable commercial terms and mitigate risk

Manage contractor relationships

Manage multiple contracts at one time

Desired Qualifications

Basic office management skills (phones, filing, use of office equipment etc.)

Understanding of terminology

Strong time management skills

Strong verbal communication skills, Contract writing and negotiations

Ariba experience
