Our Salt Lake City office has an exciting opportunity for an Inspector with experience in construction of complex water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities. Candidate will work closely with members of the project team, including the Owner, BC CM group, multiple contractors, and design engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Work location will be in the Salt Lake City area, with ability to provide similar support for other local and regional clients. Primary responsibilities include:* Review and Documentation: Review design and bidding documents for completeness, constructability, and biddability. Conduct file reviews for required paperwork, including staff inspections, schedules, sampling data, amendments, and certifications. Prepare and review project documentation, daily reports, and project correspondence.* Meetings and Coordination: Attend pre-construction meetings to review and discuss contract requirements. Collaborate with local and national project teams, including Quality Manager, Project Controls Manager, Safety Professionals, Technical Leads, and Inspection staff. Facilitate effective partnerships with all project stakeholders.* Inspections and Compliance: Perform daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, standards, codes, and permits. Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations and proper construction techniques. Ensure quality construction standards and compliance with health and safety training requirements.* Project Management: Review and become familiar with project contract requirements and schedule. Monitor construction progress in accordance with approved submittals and contract requirements. Investigate engineering and construction issues to determine potential solutions and implications. Maintain project records required for project close-out.* Commissioning and Testing: Lead and assist with commissioning, testing, and start-up of process systems/equipment or facilities. Perform onsite inspections for water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects.* Mentorship and Supervision: Mentor, supervise, and provide direction for less experienced staff. Be proactive in inspection finding identification, management, mitigation, and problem-solving. Coordinate to resolve issues in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, and designers.Desired Skills and Experience:* Minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible, professional experience in the construction and inspection of municipal infrastructure, water, and wastewater facilities.* Thorough working knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, process and building mechanical and electrical construction and demolition practices involved with major public works projects.* Ability to provide design/consultation in specialized areas, make decisions and solve problems.* Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.* Knowledge of building products, construction details and...
