Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to support our Capital Projects Team. In this role, you will provide technical expertise to Project Managers in outsourced projects, ensuring compliance with facility guidelines, industry codes, and plant-wide infrastructure standards. You will develop scopes of work, review external designs, and provide engineering support throughout project execution. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent Electrical Engineering graduate looking to gain experience in design engineering while learning about industrial electrical systems. A mentorship program will be available to help you ramp up and grow within the role. Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers by providing technical insights for electrical engineering aspects of capital projects.
- Collaborate with engineering support teams to develop scopes of work, ensuring compliance with facility guidelines.
- Review third-party design proposals and assess technical viability, safety, and alignment with industry standards.
- Assist with detailed electrical design work, focusing on plant-wide infrastructure upgrades and electrical system improvements.
- Work closely with outsourced engineering firms, ensuring quality and alignment with project objectives.
- Maintain documentation for electrical projects, including design reviews, schematics, and reports.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers and engineering firms.
- Apply electrical codes and standards to support safe and efficient operations.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong foundational knowledge of electrical systems, industrial infrastructure, and design principles.
- Basic understanding of electrical standards and ability to read electrical schematics.
- Ability to review and evaluate electrical designs provided by external sources.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with Project Managers, engineering teams, and external partners.
- Analytical problem-solving skills for assessing technical designs and project feasibility.
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach in supporting project execution.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow under mentorship.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Understanding of hardware and power distribution.
- Troubleshooting skills.
