Audubon is currently seeking a Craft Coordinator to join our team in our Houston, TX Energy Corridor Office. The Craft Coordinator will focus on managing and supporting craft (non-exempt) labor for the construction group. This role is critical to streamlining craft onboarding, compliance, and staffing processes to improve project timelines and efficiency.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Craft Requisition & Recruiting: Manage craft requisition processes and lead recruiting efforts for skilled and general craft labor.
  • Onboarding & Orientation: Facilitate the onboarding process, including documentation, orientations, and timely integration of craft labor into project teams.
  • Wage Rates & Per Diem Management: Set craft wage rates, establish per diem guidelines, and validate eligibility.
  • Skill Level Tracking & Database Management: Record, monitor, and update craft skill levels, maintaining a performance tracking database.
  • Staffing Transitions: Oversee internal transfers of craft labor between projects, ensuring a smooth process.
  • Training Coordination: Coordinate craft training programs, including Operator Qualifications (OQs), NCCER certifications, equipment operator training, and physicals.
  • Craft Evaluations & Terminations: Conduct evaluations for craft workers and supervisors, manage termination documentation, and handle post-termination evaluations.
  • Craft Benefits & Compliance: Manage personnel files, enforce absentee and reprimand policies, oversee benefits administration, and ensure compliance with HR policies.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2+ years of HR admin experience in an industrial construction environment, with hands-on involvement in managing craft labor.
  • Strong knowledge of labor compliance, onboarding processes, wage rates, and per diem management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
