Responsibilities: Thorough understanding of geometric design of highways and streets Comfortable taking a lead role in the design and development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for transportation projects Experience with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and PA municipal clients Ability to develop plans from conceptual design to final horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, grading, drainage design, and utility relocations Understanding of construction as it relates to developing temporary traffic control and construction staging plans Qualifications: 10 plus years of highway engineering experience preferred BS in Civil Engineering required; focus on Transportation or Land Development preferred PE is preferred Experience with PennDOT and/or PA municipal clients is a plus Proficiency Using MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members Able to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.) Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
