We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Janitorial Project Manager to oversee and manage janitorial operations within an educational setting. This role is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in custodial management, and the ability to coordinate and oversee cleaning staff and vendors effectively.
Pay: $75,000.00/yr
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicants experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily janitorial operations across assigned educational facilities, ensuring all cleaning standards and protocols are met.
- Supervise, train, and schedule janitorial staff to ensure efficient workflow and coverage.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control and address any cleaning or maintenance issues promptly.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and best practices tailored to an educational environment.
- Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for school administrators and facility managers regarding janitorial services.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA and school district policies.
- Handle employee performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution as needed.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized cleaning and maintenance services.
- Respond to emergency cleaning needs, special events, and other facility-related requests as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in janitorial or facility management, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in supervising and managing janitorial teams.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff, administration, and vendors.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, sanitation standards, and safety regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assess situations, make quick decisions, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Organization: Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple sites or projects effectively.
- Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in facility management or custodial operations preferred.
Work Environment:
- May require evening or weekend availability depending on school schedules and special events.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting moderate weights as needed for inspections and emergency cleanups.
