Industrial Painter** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced industrial painter to join our team in the fabrication shop. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of working in a paint booth independently, including setup, preparation, painting, cleanup, and booth maintenance. The role also involves performing additional tasks throughout the shop when the paint department is not busy. **Responsibilities** + Prepare materials for painting by washing, removing dust or debris, and eliminating metal spatter. + Ensure all surfaces are free of contaminants and cosmetically acceptable before paint application. + Maintain paint guns for high-quality application of primers and paints. + Keep the paint room clean and perform regular safety checks on personal protective equipment and painting equipment. + Maintain paint booths, including changing filters. + Perform assembly work or assist the shipping/receiving department as needed. + Engage in metalworking, including using basic machinery such as saws, hand grinders, and belt sanders. + Measure, cut, deburr, and grind materials. + Use material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of painting experience in an industrial or autobody environment. + Demonstrated knowledge of painting techniques, formulas, and applications. + Ability to work independently in a paint booth. + Understanding of OSHA requirements, including forklift and respirator use. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in metal finishing and use of hand tools. + Capability of wearing a respirator. + Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand throughout the shift. + Flexibility to spend time bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. **Why Work Here?** Our organization offers a comprehensive benefits package, including full medical, dental, and vision coverage with low employee contribution rates.
