Responsibilities:

Cutting felt, shingles, or strips of flashing to fit angles formed by walls, vents, or intersecting roof surfaces;

Removing snow, water, or debris from roofs prior to applying roofing materials;

Installing vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs, and sealing the seams;

Working on low-slope or steep-slope roofs sometimes both;

Inspecting problem roofing to determine the best repair procedures;

Placing tiles, nailing them to roof boards, and covering nail heads with roofing cement;

Removing old roofing materials;

Checking to ensure that completed roofs are watertight;

Locating worn or torn areas in roofs;

Sweeping and cleaning roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials;

Strong working knowledge of job site safety;

Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: TPO, PVC, EPDM rubber, built-ups, Bitumen, metal and dura-last roofing;

Requirements:

Knowledge of Safety/OSHA guidelines;

Must be reliable and enjoy working outdoors in a variety of climates and NOT have a fear of heights;

Clean Background Check

Ability to comprehend, construct, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and shop drawings for the task being done;

Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation;

Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts;

Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: TPO, PVC, EPDM rubber, built-ups, Bitumen, metal and dura-last roofing;

Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts is a plus;

You will be reading a tape measure and using hand tools;

2 year's experience required.
