Job Summary
Interior Logic Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our Granite & Stone Countertop Shop. This role is responsible for operating various stone fabrication machinery-including bridge saws, CNC equipment, and edge polishers-to accurately cut and process granite, quartz, and other stone slabs. The Machine Operator ensures materials are fabricated to specification, meets production deadlines, and adheres to all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate bridge saws, CNC machines, edge polishers, and other fabrication equipment to cut and finish stone slabs.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and templates to ensure precise cuts and edge profiles.
Load and position large stone slabs using overhead cranes, suction lifters, or forklifts.
Inspect materials before and after cuts for quality and accuracy.
Monitor equipment performance and perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting as needed.
Ensure all fabricated pieces meet specification, quality control, and safety requirements.
Coordinate with material handlers, fabricators, and supervisors to prioritize production flow.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Follow all safety procedures, equipment protocols, and PPE requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience operating bridge saws, CNCs, or similar machinery in a manufacturing or stone fabrication setting.
Familiarity with granite, quartz, and natural stone materials.
Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings or technical specs.
Basic mechanical skills for machine maintenance and minor repairs.
Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working on your feet throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues.
Forklift or overhead crane experience preferred.
