Job Description We are seeking a Survey Technician who possesses a thorough understanding of safety requirements and traffic control measures for surveying and construction operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the care, cleaning, and use of various surveying tools and equipment, including field radios. Additionally, they will manage daily operations, checks, and basic field adjustments on transits, total stations, electronic stations, data collectors, levels, compasses, tribrachs, and tripods. Responsibilities
- Perform basic surveys such as leveling, traversing, triangulation, trilateration, public land surveys, metes and bounds surveys, construction surveys, and photo control surveys.
- Coordinate fieldwork for various standard surveys under the supervision of a Party Chief.
- Maintain neat and orderly field notes for standard surveying operations including leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, profile, and cross-section surveys.
- Minimum of 6 months experience using robotic total stations and data collectors.
- Strong attendance and punctuality on job sites.
- Experience with as-built, transportation, and site surveys for wetlands and sitework.
- Proficiency in GPS, topographic surveys, and data collection.
- Robotic Total Station setup.
- Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Reliability as an employee.
