Citadel Roofing & Building Maintenance, a leading roofing company based in Port Coquitlam, is currently looking to build our Roofing Crew - with skilled torch-on roofers, shinglers, metal roofers, roofing apprentices and roofing labourers.
Job Description:
As a TORCH ON ROOFER, you will be responsible for installing and repairing torch-on roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings.
Your duties will include:
Applying torch-on membranes to roofs using specialized equipment and techniques
Inspecting roofs for damage and leaks
Repairing or replacing damaged roofing materials
Assisting with the preparation and cleanup of job sites
Adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring a safe working environment
ROOFING LABOURERS are responsible for:
Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use and securing the job site on a daily basis
Site set up - load, unload, stack and move required materials to the site Installing, repairing or replacing a variety of roofing systems
Removing and disposing of old roofing materials
Shovel loose materials such as sand, gravel, metals, and plastics
Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Assist roofers by carrying tools and materials and helping in other roofing activities
Using ladders and scaffolding to gain access to the roof, as required
Follow all health and safety regulations at the work site
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
ROOFERS must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in either torch on roofing or shingle roofer, or both
Strong knowledge of torch-on roofing systems and installation techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights
Must be able to get to job sites throughout the Lower Mainland safely.
Roofers and Foremen must have valid fall prevention certification. Valid First Aid certification considered an asset.
Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
