The Opportunity

As we continue with our aggressive growth strategy, we are seeking a Project Manager for Fire Protection Division .

As a key operations partner, the Project Manager will oversee daily operations for fire protection installation teams to ensure successful project performance.

The successful candidate will be organized and a motivated team builder. They would be an engaging, empathetic communicator that can connect with people to achieve results. This position would inspire total commitment and compliance from our field team with all aspects of Rotaflows HSE requirements.

This role will report out of our Head Office location in Edmonton.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage our eld installation teams for ecient installation of re protection systems.

Responsible for recruiting and maintaining a quality road crew.

Develop and maintain manpower loading and project WBS documents.

Monitor eld work progress and identify when there are delays or issues.

Conduct regular construction site visits and inspections to keep up to date on the pulse of each project.

Develop and implement mitigation plans to respond to project challenges.

Coordinate with the engineering and fabrication shop to ensure material & equipment meet POJ dates.

Coordinate with our fabrication shop to track material orders & fabrication schedule to ensure project deadlines are met.

Work with eld personnel to facilitate proper ow of project documentation (i.e. as-built drawings.)

Ensure Environmental, Health and Safety compliance by to installation teams.

Lead in exemplifying our core values and bridging the corporate head oce and eld operations, lead in team building events and initiatives.

Qualifications:

5 10 years of re protection installation experience.

Experience in installation management would be considered an asset.

Candidate with PMP designation or sprinkler tter certication will be considered an asset.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral

Strong awareness and understanding of construction safety principles.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment, having the capacity to respond positively to pressure.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Oce programs; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

40hr Monday to Friday per week with overtime as necessary.

Travel will be required to visit project sites throughout Alberta.

Valid Driver's License.

Key Performance Indicators:

KPI-01 Safety (40%)

Strive for Zero Incidents Activities :

Conduct a formal walkdown(s) on construction sites with eld team(s).

Review safety paperwork on a regular basis (FLHA, Permits, HI, SOS, Near Miss Reports, etc.)

Promote a positive safety culture by example.

KPI-02 Utilization (40%)

Schedule equipment and labor to optimize project performance. Activities :

Weekly input in WIP meetings to provide feedback on site progress.

Schedule equipment & labor to meet with installation schedules.

Communicate to field team(s) leadership team performance concerns.

KPI-03 Performance (20%)

Monitor/Review ongoing work in progress to ensure projects are in line with estimates.

Activities:

Monitor material orders and fabrication schedules.

Monitor field installation progress and provide input to install teams (estimate vs actual)

Review the capabilities of installers and provide input on individual abilities.
