FTE: 1.000000 Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: Enrollment andattendance in second year of program will serve in a state of Wisconsinapproved apprenticeship program to gain on the job learning withclassroom instruction paid by Froedtert to become highly skilledperforming mechanical and electrical duties to keep machines andequipment in working order. This position will assist more experiencedmaintenance team members with the diagnosis and repair of more complexissues and systems. For less complex issues and systems, the Apprenticewill have autonomy to complete tasks with supervision. Work is subjectto progress evaluation and final inspection. The Apprentice is expectedto follow all safety rules, communicate both written and orally anddocument work activities as needed. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Successfulcompletion of the Mechanic Intern phase. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Abilityto complete Maintenance Technician State of WI certified Apprenticeshipprogram and meet the ongoing requirements of the program. High Schooldiploma or equivalent is preferred. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Use a varietyof hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipmentin performing duties. Computer proficiency Good interpersonal skills tointeract positively and effectively with patients, visitors and hospitalpersonnel.
